Movies To See In 2017

Here’s the post that was suppose to be posted Saturday:

Disclaimer: Movie dates sometimes change so the months that the movie actually comes out may not match with the month I put it under.

There are a lot of movies coming out this year. But there are also a lot of movies that I want to see this year. I tried to mix it up a little bit but I make no promises.

I love movies. I love going to see them and watching them at home whenever I can. If it’s good enough, I can watch the time same movie over and over and never get tired of it. I’ve done that with My Fake Fiance, Battleship, and Star Trek Beyond; I’ve watched those movies so many times I lost count.

What I really love are stories. It’s why I like to read and it’s why I love movies. Movies that tell a great story are always worth spending time on. Movies are a way to reach people, and as many people that go to see them, movies also influence people.

Everyone should find a story they can relate to – whether in a movie or in a book. For me personally finding something that relates to the walk I’m in helps me see myself from the outside and realize things I would have never realized before. Plus, it’s just nice to find something you can relate you.

Movies are listed by month:

JANUARY

Hidden Figures – My brother had to see this for his math class and he loved it. Everyone I have talked to who have seen it loved it, so this is a movie I definitely want to rent and watch soon!

FEBRUARY

The Space Between Us – I have been waiting for this movie for a long time. It was supposed to come out last September, but then the release date was pushed back to December and then it was moved back AGAIN to February. Sadly, before I could even see it, it was taken out of theaters. I will see it one day!

Lego Batman – Any lego movie is fun to see and who wouldn’t want to see one about Batman?

MARCH

Power Rangers – Power Rangers was a show my siblings and I liked to watch growing up and to see a live action movie of it would be amazing!

Life – A Sci-Fi, yay!! The horror part I am not sure about…

The Boss Baby – Whoever thought of this movie was a creative genius, this movie looks hilarious!

Beauty and the Beast – The remake of Cinderella was very well done. I love that Disney princess movies are being remade into live action movies!

APRIL

The Fate of the Furious (Fast 8) – I was SO SAD when Paul Walker died! Furious 7 was done well and I hope they do this one good as well.

Gifted – I had this movie in my calendar but I didn’t remember what it was about. Literally a couple seconds ago today (Mar 28), I saw a commercial for it. The TV was just background noise and I happened to glance at it and do a double take. Is that Chris Evans? (Watched some more) It is Christ Evans! It looks really good and he’s a really good actor (GO CAPTAIN AMERICA [sorry I had to throw that in there :P]).

MAY

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – The first Guardians of the Galaxy was spectacular and the second one looks just as good (if not better)!

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword – I’m a huge fan/nerd of Arthurian history, so when I happen to find out there was going to be a movie, I immediately looked it up and was even more excited when I saw that the actor who would play King Arthur was the main actor in one of my favorite movies.

JUNE

Despicable Me 3 – Gru has a brother? Whaaa? Since when? Gru want to become a villain again? Uh oh. (very excited for this one)

Cars 3 – Lightning McQueen gets into a wreck, what will happen? Dun Dun Dun.

JULY

War For The Planet of The Apes – I LOVED the first two movies of this, they were fantastic! The third one looks like it will be amazing as well!

Spiderman: Homecoming – This movie I am not as excited for. I personally like Andrew Garfield better and would have loved to see more movies of him as Spiderman. But I know many people are excited about this movie.

AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER

There aren’t really any movies I want to see that come out during these months.

NOVEMBER

Thor: Ragnarok (Thor 3) – This is one of the movies I am most excited for out of all the ones coming out this year. Whenever someone asks me what I want to see this year, this one is at the top of the list. Thor 2 was just so good and I can’t want to see the continuation of it! My only complaint is that Jane, the first love interest, was replaced. I don’t think the new girl will be as good as Jane but that’s ok because the movie will be amazing!

Justice League – DC (Comics) has some really good shows, but they need some better movies (Superman vs. Batman was terrible). Hopefully this movie will be it! Go DC!

DECEMBER

Jumanji – Jumanji with Robin Williams was a movie I really enjoyed watching. The Rock will definitely make an interesting main characters and hopefully the movie will incorporate the old with the new.

These are not all the movies coming out this year, but these are the ones to definitely see! I encourage you to look up the list of movies coming out this year and comment the top three you want to see.
